Machinist or Lead Machinist

AMM Inc. has a new opening for a full time, permanent, day shift Machinist. We are located in Portage WI and offer a competitive compensation package including free healthcare options, IRA savings plan with variable match, paid holidays, vacation, free supplemental insurance, paid lunch break, and a small team work environment. Applicants need to have experience in manual and CNC metal machining primarily on lathes and mills. This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong work ethic. Ability to set up equipment, blueprint interpretation, and tooling knowledge will be key skills to this position. We are developing new growth opportunities regularly, and we are looking for individuals that are excited to contribute to the success of our team and grow their own careers. We offer in house internships with onsite training available, with the potential for future supervisory roles for the right candidate. If you like small batch, job shop type work with no long production runs we are interested in you.

Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm M-F

Part time/flexible hours are also available.

Design Engineer/ Project Manager

AMM Incorporated has recently opened a position for a Design Engineer/Project Manager. This is a key position that facilitates our customer’s ideas and desires into real world projects for our manufacturing plant. Our business located in Portage WI focusses on the metal fabrication and machining industry for cliental ranging from the aero-space industry, to the food processing industry, with many other exciting projects and customers.

The duties of this position require the following skill sets:

· CAD drafting with SolidWorks.

· Manufacturing knowledge and or experience, preferably in the metal industry.

· Proven ability to communicate accurately and timely with customers.

· Project Management.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.

· Ability to meet deadlines.

· Engineering background and or related education.

· Purchasing experience.

· Process Improvement.

· Quoting process knowledge.

· Strong mechanical design skills and experience.

The position hours are 7-3:30 M-F.

This position reports directly to the President.

This is a full time, permanent hire.

Wages based on skills and experience.
